About

Since 1997, Festival of Trees has been the area’s highlighted fall event, providing entertainment, family fun and creative designs for all to enjoy.

For the past 25 years the hospital/ medical center in Danville has presented the Festival of Trees to the community with pride and has raised more than $4 million for the community outreach programs and special health care initiatives of the medical center.

In 2020 an agreement was reached between OSF Healthcare Sacred Heart Medical Center and Balloons Over Vermilion, NFP in which the operations of Festival of Trees would be transferred to Balloons Over Vermilion, NFP.

About

Balloons Over Vermilion is a not-for-profit organization which has since 2016 brought a hot air balloon event back to Vermilion County.  We are proud of the fact that within the first two years of operation we were able to begin giving back to the community in the form of grants to primarily organizations and initiatives addressing family and youth-focused needs within the county.

Our Board of Directors and many volunteers are honored to have the annual Festival of Trees event placed in our hands for stewardship.  For 25 years this jewel of an event has highlighted the holiday season for the community, and we intend to keep this holiday tradition glowing for many years to come.

As part of the agreement with OSF, a portion of the proceeds from the Festival of Trees will be returned to the hospital for the next five years.

This year’s portion of the proceeds granted to the OSF will be used for the “Greatest Need” in facility and equipment improvements.

We look forward to seeing you
at the Festival of Trees 2022!
